Shir La'Shalom

Many songs of peace were written and sung in Israel in and between wars. Through reading the lyrics of some of these songs, and listening to their music, we will examine the trends, the ideologies and the changes that these songs carry.

This lecture is an overview of the unique roles of the aspiration for peace and peace motif in Hebrew songs.

In this lecture, or a series of lectures, we will listen to songs of peace, acquaint ourselves with their lyrics, and try to follow the pathways that they leave in the spirit of Israel.
